Consult a health care practitioner at the first sign of infection or an allergic reaction, and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the tattoo to the artist and to the Texas Department of State Health Services, Tattoo and Body Piercing Program at 888-839-6676.

What to Expect During the Healing Process

As you can see from the photos and illustrations below, there are many different phases of healing. The tattoo will be fresh and bold for the first few days, then it will begin to dry out and flake off (usually within 3-10 days depending on the service). After they finish flaking they may be extremely light, DO NOT WORRY as the pigment will resurface after a few weeks and be 20-50% lighter than they were fresh. Please trust the process and be patient! True healed results will be seen between 6-8 weeks. Should you have questions during your healing process, please understand that if it is not an emergency, I will respond by the next business day.
